The funny thing was I remember articles in college ca. 1996 that were already years old saying that you need to halt global warming before warning signs start to show because by then it would be too late. Here we are ten years later and we’re still having discussions about whether global warming exists. I’m sure when the world cracks open the neo-cons will claim it’s the Second Coming.
On the bright side, it eases some of my worries about saving for retirement.

GW (Not Read: ‘Global Warming’) Bushie is the only one of 123 countries not to ratify Kyoto, and has just as many people fighting his PR war as the one on “terror.” Global Warming…I mean Climate Change, is for each nation a prisoner’s dilemma, a tragedy of the commons of sorts.
That’s all, I have a war on consciousness that I’m losing tonight.
I’m so tired I just called our president a country. Now that’s Executive Privilege.
So we can all go to hell together.
I’m not so daft to suggest that global warming is Bush’s fault because this has been on the plate for some time. The rhetoric coming out of the righty camp is astounding though–to say global warming is some sort of peacenik environmentalist propaganda is just plain stupid.
The fact that “Global Warming Reaching Tipping Stage” is an understated news link on MSN’s site while “Big Screen TVs For the Big Game” gets top billing pretty much sums up the state of the union for me.
