Hey, good news! My contributor’s copies for the Sep/Oct issue of Cicada arrived in the mail today. Cicada’s harder to find than some other mags, but try looking in the children’s or young adult section of the magazine rack of your favorite bookseller. My story "A Change of Seasons" was written in week 3 of Clarion, presided over by Nancy Kress who praised it and encouraged me to submit it with only a few minor changes. |

Of all the stories I’ve written, this is one of which I’m most proud so I’m thrilled to see it finally in print.

BIG congrats! You’re right, Cicada is tough to find, but I’m certainly going to seek it out. Between John L. and me, we should be able to find a copy around here somewhere. Go celebrate!
Yay! Contrib copies!
Yah, Cicada is oddly difficult to find. I was able to find examples of the Bug Books for younger age groups as my local Borders, but no Cicada. Maybe they sell mainly through subscriptions by school libraries?
Congrats man! I am thrilled for you.
BTW, you look weird without facial hair. (just a side note)
Congratulations. I have my list ready of all bookstores within striking distance. I’ll find you in one of them. And if not I am so crashing the school library down the street.
Thanks guys! Happy days, happy days.
Now if I could just sell another story…
