McHale has brief sections on &quot;the science-fictionalization of postmodernism&quot; and &quot;the postmodernization of science fiction&quot; as well as talking about the fantastic throughout. He writes in a pretty engaging way (although it helps to have a dictionary handy) and added a number of books to a potential reading list. Even though I&#039;m not sure I have the patience for &quot;high&quot; postmodernist fiction (the games get old for me), I greatly appreciate the postmodern push towards fragmented storytelling and hearing voices that historically have been silenced.</description>
